Babcock has a rich history in design, development, and manufacture, from naval architecture to mission-based product solutions for defence and civil customers. With our platform agnostic approach, from concept to manufacture, the design phase offers many opportunities for the support of future platforms, therefore optimising availability. We continue to be involved in every major naval defence programme in the UK including submarine design and development of future support solutions to design, build and assemble the Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers and the Type 31 frigates. The state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facility at our Rosyth site is now a world class digital shipbuilding facility, with opportunities to roll out the blueprint and processes to export customers around the globe.
